One of the foods that I crave the most other than our national beloved breakfast dish Nasi Lemak is definitely Korean Fried Chicken. Some people may be wondering, how is it so different than regular fried chicken? Well, it’s known for its batter to be light and crispy, plus nowadays there are so many flavors you can enjoy. They’re usually small and medium-sized chicken with moist and tender meat. OK. Now, I’m drooling. Without further ado, here are some best Korean Fried Chicken you can try around Klang Valley!

This is a well-known outlet to get some good fried chicken around the country. They serve delicious crispy fried chicken with burgers and rice on the side because nothing can go wrong with rice, of course. Types of chicken you can get here such as their signature wingettes and drumettes, and my personal favorite boneless chicken bites because bones can be such a hassle, right? BBQ Chicken is known to be Korea’s No. 1 Chicken restaurant and as quoted on their website “Delivering the best of the best quality since 1995”! This one will drive you insane and perhaps make you fall in love as well with their 11 types of Korean Fried Chicken. So many to choose from! Golden Fried Chicken, Gang-Jeong Chicken, Soy Garlic Chicken, you name it.

If you didn’t know, Jinjja translates to ‘Really’ in Korean so basically, their restaurant name makes you in shock with their delicious chicken. They’re known for being a trendy Korean Chain Restaurant and best known for their Korean Fried Chicken and Jjajangmyeon. Not only that but if you’re interested other than the chicken, they also offer delicious Korean dishes like Bibimbap and Seafood Jjamppong. If you want something casual like street food, don’t worry! They have kimbap, Bulgogi Burger and Tteokbokki as well. When you can’t travel to Korea for Korean food, I think this place might help you out with that.

So, KFry is actually short for Korean Fried Chicken and it wouldn’t be a complete list if I didn’t include one of the most popular outlets for Korean fried chicken here. Before the pandemic even happened, I still remember everyone queuing up outside of this restaurant to get a taste of this mouth-watering, flavorful fried chicken. Especially when it’s wrapped with melted cheese, how could you not? They even added new meals to the menu such as Croffles and Jjajang series!

Brought into Malaysia in the year 2015, their recipes are developed by the Korean founder that are packed with unique and extraordinary flavors. With various flavors such as sweet & spicy, creamy garlic, honey soy and so much more, you’re gonna enjoy every bite. Check out their other menu as they serve not just fried chicken but noodles, burgers as well as wrap and salads!

This was also a restaurant that had a long queue you had to join because their restaurant is always packed with people enjoying the flavorful Kyochon. Soy Garlic, Red Pepper and Honey are the flavors you’ll be getting and you can even get the mix of the three flavors when you try out their Kyochon Mix!

Their pizzas are thin and cheesy, it’s the perfect side dish for a fried chicken.

At first I thought their restaurant named was based on a person’s name but actually, it’s ‘Yes’ in Korean as Koreans would say “네”. So basically, you’re saying yes to chicken and that honestly sounds like a plan! Providing authentic chicken since 1999 and with over 1200 outlets in South Korea, they offer delectable, crispy and marinated fried chicken that’s served along with their authentic Korean sauces. It is what you absolutely need to try out today!
