Most of us prefer anything that’s easy and cheap – especially when it comes to preparing meals.

So to help you with that, we have compiled some of the cheapest and easiest quarantine meals we came across on the internet. Some of these will only take less than 5 minutes! Check it out.
1. POTATOES WITH A SURPRISE!

INGREDIENTS:
- potato
- cheese
- onions
- herbs
- minced meat (optional)
- white / black pepper
This is called Loaded Baked Potatoes. So get your potato and slice that baby in half. Then, make a hole in the centre. Add stuff like cheese, onions, herbs and maybe even minced meat into the cavity. You then pop it in the microwave for about 10 minutes and voila it’s done!
Once you bake it, you can add more herbs on top if you like or season it with some white or black pepper. These will make you quite full. Plus, you can customize the ingredients as you like! Try it!
2. THE ‘BETTER’ INSTANT NOODLES

INGREDIENTS:
- instant noodles
- egg
- green onion, chopped
- meat slices (optional)
Instead of just plain instant noodles, take it to the next level by using two simple ingredients!
Crack an egg in it, then add in some chopped green onions. Let me tell you, it is going to taste so much better! If you want more protein, you can even add some slices of meat. Now you have a simple yet delicious meal just by using instant noodles! Slurp on this while enjoying your favorite dramas ahh~
3. CHEESY EGG QUESADILLAS

INGREDIENTS:
- eggs
- tortilla
- cheese
- olive oil (optional)
- chilli sauce or mayo
It really is cheesy, easy and tasty!
Just scramble those eggs in a pan. Then add them into a wrap or tortilla. You can also add cheese, DEFINITELY RECOMMENDED! Then fry them in the pan. You may brush the tortilla with olive oil if you want it to be more crispier. Then dip it into your favorite chilli sauce or mayo to enjoy!
4. NAAN PIZZA

INGREDIENTS:
- tomato sauce
- naan
- cheese, shredded
- pepperoni (optional)
- basil leaves
This D.I.Y pizza is simpler than you realize.
Just smear tomato sauce onto the naan then add a handful of your favourite type of cheese. You can also add pepperoni if you like. Once it is baked, you can top it with some basil leaves. You can also add mushrooms and customize the toppings further as you like!
5. MUFFIN CUP EGGS

INGREDIENTS:
- onion, chopped
- green bell pepper, chopped
- mushrooms, chopped
- eggs, beaten
- whole milk
Even kids will love these!
Just chop onion, bell peppers, mushrooms and add them to your beaten egg mixture. Then pour in some whole milk, about two tablespoons should be fine. Mix it well then pour them into the muffin tray. Bake them and enjoy!
6. THE TUNA MELT TOAST

INGREDIENTS:
- tuna spread
- slices of cheese
- bread
- lemon (optional)
- white pepper (optional)
Oh boy. The way the cheese and tuna melts – is absolutely glorious!
Just smear tuna spread and add slices of cheese onto your bread. You can also squeeze some lemon and add a dash of white pepper if you want more flavor. Then, simply toast or grill it. This combo is such a winner.
7. TUNA BUT IN PASTA?

INGREDIENTS:
- canned tuna
- cooked pasta
- olive oil
- capers (optional)
- chilli flakes
- cheese, shredded (optional)
Yes! You got to try it. It is actually so good!
Just get your canned tuna and mix it with some cooked pasta. Then drizzle some olive oil, add capers and chilli flakes. Add some shredded cheese on top to elevate the taste further!
8. BAKED MACARONI

INGREDIENTS:
- macaroni or fusilli
- tomato sauce
- cheese
- minced meat (optional)
- parsley (optional)
Your lazy ass is going to love this hahaha.
Just mix macaroni or fusilli, tomato sauce and cheese in a bowl and then add more cheese on top. Then bake it for about 20 minutes. If you want to add more stuff, you add in some minced meat and also garish it with some parsley.
9. DECONSTRUCTED SUSHI

INGREDIENTS:
- avocado, diced to cubes
- shredded imitation crab or canned tuna
- cucumber, diced to cubes
- carrots, thinly sliced
- rice vinegar
- mayo
- seaweed
- sesame seeds
Hahaha, yes it is literally something like it. It tastes so fresh and is on the healthy side.
Top your rice with cold ingredients like avocado, shredded imitation crab or canned tuna, cucumber and thinly sliced carrots. Add a little bit of rice vinegar and mayo then mix it all up. Garnish with sliced seaweed and sesame seeds.
10. MEATBALLS WITH MASHED POTATOES

INGREDIENTS:
- mashed potatoes
- frozen meatballs
- gravy
- black pepper
- parsley
This is quite quick to make!
Just prepare your mashed potatoes then top it with your cooked meatballs and the gravy. Season with black pepper and add a little parsley as garnish. That’s it! So simple right!
11. EASIEST PASTA CARBONARA

INGREDIENTS:
- eggs
- cream
- pasta
- sausages or bacon
- cheese
- parsley (optional)
In just about 10 minutes you can savor this meal.
Add beaten eggs and cream into your boiled pasta. Fry some sausages or bacon then add it to the pasta and mix it all together. Grate cheese over it and enjoy! You can season it with parsley.
12. CRUNCHY PEANUT NOODLES

INGREDIENTS:
- noodles
- sauces e.g. hoisin and soy sauce
- peanuts, roasted
- green onions, chopped
- sesame seeds
Love noodles and snacking on peanuts? This one’s for you.
So cook your noodles with all those sauces that are going to give it flavor like, hoisin and soy sauce. Then add in some roasted peanuts and mix it well. Garnish with some chopped green onions and sesame seeds.
13. THE TRIO – SAUSAGE, ONION AND RICE

INGREDIENTS:
- sausages
- onion
- rice
- salt
- pepper
- soy sauce
- green onions, chopped (optional)
That’s the beauty of sausages. It goes well with so much stuff, even rice!
So fry your sausages, onion and rice in the pan. Throw in salt, pepper and soy sauce to season it! And that’s it! Garnish with some chopped green onions if you like.
14. HEARTWARMING WONTON SOUP

INGREDIENTS:
- frozen dumplings
- your choice of veggies
- green onions, chopped
This is such a hearty meal.
And it’s so simple! Just get your frozen dumplings and cook it with your choice of veggies to make a broth. Then garnish with yes, chopped green onion! (it really is a versatile garnish) HAHAHA!
15. WHEN IT DOUBT, FRIED RICE.

INGREDIENTS:
- carrots
- eggs
- chicken
- cooked rice
- seasoning: soy sauce, oyster sauce, salt and pepper
- green onion, chopped
Got leftover veggies and meat in the refrigerator? Fried rice it is then.
This is the easiest way to make use of your leftover ingredients. Common ingredients you can add are carrots, eggs, chicken or any other protein then mix it up with your cooked rice in a wok. Make sure the rice is cool and cooked a day before. NEVER EVER USE FRESHLY COOKED RICE FOR FRIED RICE. The moisture will make it clump together. Then add in seasonings of your choice like soy sauce, oyster sauce, salt and pepper. Mix it well and cook on high heat. Then garnish with some chopped green onions. Yum!
