15k Shares! This Girl Shares Overnight Oat Recipes for Sahur | Healthy and Easy

What is Overnight Oats?

It is an incredibly easy and tasty breakfast meal that is about adding ingredients of your choice to cooked oats, popping in the fridge and eating it the next morning. Yes, as simple as that!

Why is it SO AWESOME?

You can add various types of ingredients like fresh or dried fruits, yogurt, peanut butter, nuts, seeds and more!

These healthy ingredients are going to give you all the necessary minerals and vitamins to stay physically fit and lose weight. You want to look fabulous in your Baju Raya, don’t you? Hehehe! Moreover, it is good for the heart and low in cholesterol.

Most importantly, since it is Bulan Puasa, having oats for sahur will keep you full longer so you can stay energized throughout the day. You will be fueled with energy because oats are high in fibre and it takes longer to be digested in the body, making you less hungry. Seeeee, awesome right?!

And everyones’ favourite word – easy. Overnight Oats is so easy to make. There is no cooking or baking involved to prepare it in the morning, since you are just going to add all the ingredients in a jar the night before.

Why use Rolled Oats instead of normal oats?

This is because the texture of rolled oats are thicker and rougher compared to normal oats. So when it is soaked overnight, it will not be too soft and still give a wonderful texture.

So let’s check out some delicious Overnight Oats Recipes for Sahur!

1. Kurma Overnight Oats

Get 3 Kurma or dates then blend it with milk and chia seeds. Add it to the rolled oats and refrigerate it.

Kurma is famous during Raya. You can try the most popular brand that I’m sure you have heard on the radio countless times hahaha – Yusuf Taiyoob.

2. Mango Overnight Oats

This is going to be enjoyed! It has mangoes, chia seeds, flaxseeds and milk. Just add them all together and chill overnight.

3. Banana Mango Overnight Oats

Almost the same as before but with a twist. This one has mashed banana at the bottom, rolled oats, chia and flax seeds, mango toppings and a dash of cinnamon powder as a finish.

4. Oat Mango Chia Pudding

This one is made by adding 4 tbsp of chia seeds and milk that is left to thicken to form a pudding. It is then placed at the bottom. Then mango, milk and oats are added on top.

Same technique as the previous recipes but instead of mangoes, add chopped dragon fruits.

6. Dragon Fruit Overnight Oat

If you want to skip the chia pudding or don’t have chia seeds, you can try this. Just add the dragon fruits, oats and milk all together then chill overnight.
