FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 is almost ending, and the teams that will be matching in the semi-finals are decided!
Let’s check out the quick summary of last week’s quarter-final matches:
1. Argentina vs Netherlands (10th December 2022)
Argentina defeated the Netherlands on penalties with the final result of 4-3 on penalties after a draw 2-2.
Lionel Messi won the Man of the Match award against the Netherlands, marking his ninth overall at World Cups. He assisted Nahuel Molina’s goal and converted from the spot to give Argentina a 2-0 lead.
Argentina will play against Croatia for a place in the semi-finals.
2. Brazil vs Croatia (9th December 2022)
Croatia made it through this year’s World Cup semi-finals after a penalty shootout wins over Brazil with the final result of 4-2 following a dramatic draw of 1-1.
Dominik Livakovic, the Man of the Match, was the hero as Croatia defeated Brazil in a penalty shootout to secure their spot in the World Cup semi-finals.
Croatia will play against Argentina for a place in the semi-finals.
3. Portugal vs Morocco (10th December 2022)
Morocco created history again by being the first-ever Arabic team to make it to the World Cup semi-finals after their victory against Portugal with the final result of 1-0.
Morocco’s goalkeeper, Yassine Bounou, was crowned Man of the Match after keeping numerous of Portugal’s scoring attempts out of his net.
Morocco will play against France for a place in the semi-finals.
4. England vs France (11th December 2022)
France claimed their place in the semi-finals by beating England during the World Cup in the quarter-final match with the final result of 2-1.
Olivier Giroud was named man of the match after scoring the game-winning goal with 12 minutes remaining, breaking many English hearts.
France will play against Morocco for a place in the semi-finals.
Argentina, Croatia, France and Morocco are all four teams qualified for the semi-finals. The World Cup will resume when Argentina takes on Croatia in the semi-finals on 14th December 2022, followed by a match between Morocco and France on 15th December 2022.

Croatia will be up against Argentina on 14th December 2022 (Wednesday) at 3:00 am (Malaysia Time).

Morocco will be up against France on 15th December 2022 (Thursday) at 3:00 am (Malaysia Time).
