Tau Foo Fah (Soy Bean Pudding) Recipe

Silky smooth Tau Foo Fah is one of the best-known street foods in Malaysia. It is soy bean pudding topped with a splash of sugary syrup of your choice. If you were ever wondering how to make this sweet delicacy, we got you!

Tofu Fa

  • 1 L Homesoy original
  • 1 ½ tbsp Cornstarch
  • ½ tsp GDL
  • 50 ml Water

Plam Syrup

  • 100 g Plam Sugar
  • 50 g Honey
  • 100 g Water
  • 100 g Sugar

Spice Syrup

  • 100 g Sugar
  • 50 g Honey
  • 100 g Water
  • A pinch Clove Powder
  • A stick Cinnamon


  • Pour Homesoy Original and once boil lower the heat to simmer

  • In a small bowl, add cornstarch and GDL and mix it with water to avoid lump

  • Pour the mixture into hot soy milk pot and stir it quickly.

  • Remove any bubbles.

  • Turn off the heat and let it set for 20 minutes.

  • Once set, plate it and serve it with the sweet syrup.

  • Combine Sugar, Honey and water and let it dissolve. Set aside.

  • Repeat step for the other spice syrup
