How to use a lighter properly?
Step 1:
Hold the lighter about an inch away from the stove with the tip of the nozzle.
Step 2:
Look for a little slider, lever, or switch along with the lever handle when inspecting the lighter. Other than the trigger or button that ignites the flame, the candle may include two such devices: one is a safety switch, and the other changes the flame height. Set the flame height slider to the center position. At either end of the slider, there may be a negative sign and a plus sign, or a small flame and a large flame.
Step 3:
If your candle lighter model has one, press the safety switch or slide the safety lever to allow the flame to start. It may appear to be a simple on/off rocker switch.
Step 4:
While holding the lighter point near the candle wick, press the huge trigger or button. Light the candle wick with the flame from the lighter tip. Adjust the flame-height lever to a higher setting if no flame appears, then push the trigger again.
