Top 8 Best Wan Tan Mee Shops in Klang Valley 2022

Wan Tan Mee is a noodle dish of Cantonese origin that is served dry or with hot soup. It usually comes with side dishes such as blanched vegetables with oyster sauce and dumplings. The dish is popular in Southern China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand.

Malaysia has its version of Wan Tan Mee as it has slices of Char Siu and Fried Dumplings included in the dish. Some Malaysian Wan Tan Mee shops also serve a vegetarian version of the Wan Tan Mee dish.

What is Wan Tan Mee Made of?

Wan Tan Mee is made from egg noodles. These egg noodles are a result of mixing wheat flour and eggs which forms a dough that is later cut into flat strips and then cooked in boiling water.

Egg noodles are generally healthy as they have good nutritional value from enriched eggs that provide key vitamins and minerals, including B vitamins. The dumplings and blanched vegetables that accompany this dish provide a good dietary balance of protein and fibre as well.
