1. Classic Dalgona Coffee

The Classic Dalgona Coffee is made with equal parts of white sugar, instant coffee and hot water. This mixture is then whipped vigorously with a whisk to form a dense foam (yep, time to workout). You can use a hand mixer alternatively if you want to save time and effort.
Once a dense foam is formed, it is poured gently over a cup of warm milk.
Ingredients:
- 1 Tbsp instant coffee (I used Moccona vanilla praline and it’s super tasty!)
- 1 Tbsp sugar
- 1 Tbsp hot water
- 3/4 cups milk ~ 1 cup, chilled or heated
- ice cubes (optional)
Method:
Step 1: Combine instant coffee, sugar and hot water in a mixing bowl. Mix them well. Then using a handheld mixer (stand mixer or milk frother) whisk it on high speed until the coffee mixture forms a stiff peak (2-4 mins).
Step 2: If you don’t have any of these tools, you can whisk it manually by hand. It still works! Just whisk it about 400 times.
Add the i ce cubes in a mug then pour over the milk. Scoop out the whipped coffee on top of the milk. Serve.

Ingredients:
- 2 tbsp. granulated sugar

9. Brown Sugar Dalgona Milk Tea

This is another one that’s quite popular amongst the youngsters. It’s Dalgona Milk Tea! Use black tea of your choice that is boiled together with brown sugar to create a syrup. This syrup is then added to the egg white foam. (You can replace egg whites with aquafaba or heavy whipping cream)
Depending on your preferences, you can add tapioca pearls at the bottom, then a handful of ice and pour in some milk. The foam mixture is then poured over gently.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup milk substitute with almond or soy milk if preferred
- 1 large egg white or 2 tbsp aquafaba

Boba (Optional)
- 80 grams tapioca pearls

Step 1: [Optional] To prepare the boba, bring 2 cups of water to a boil over high heat. Add the tapioca pearls and reduce the heat to medium. Cook tapioca pearls until softened, for about 20 minutes or according to package instructions. Remove from heat and set aside for 10 minutes. Drain the tapioca pearls once they have reached the desired texture, and transfer them into a cup.
Step 2: In a small pot, bring 1/2 cup water to a boil. Add black tea bags and remove from heat. Steep for about 6 minutes and remove tea bags/leaves. Add brown sugar, and boil for about 8-10 minutes until it reaches a thick syrup consistency. Cover and set aside.
Step 3: In a medium bowl, add the egg white and mix on high with a hand mixer for about 3-4 minutes, until soft peaks form and it reaches a frothy consistency.
Step 4: Slowly add the warm syrup into the egg mixture while continuously mixing.

10. Strawberry Dalgona Coffee

Hey sweetie, want Dalgona that’s as sweet as you? Try the Strawberry Dalgona Coffee. This is made by using strawberry powder added to both the foam and the milk. You can directly use strawberry milk too.
Ingredients:
- 2 tablespoons Instant Coffee

- 2 tablespoons hot or warm water
- 8 ounces whole milk or non-dairy milk of choice
Method :
Step 1: Chill The Glass: Place ice in a glass and chill in the freezer for 5-10 minutes.
Step 2: To Make the Strawberry Milk Base: In a blender, add milk and 2 tablespoons strawberry powder; blend until completely mixed. Fill a chilled glass with the strawberry milk, filled with ice and 4 ounces (1/2 cup) milk (I use whole organic but you can use any milk you wish, including almond, cashew, soy, rice milk or other non-dairy/dairy-free milk). Alternately, you can serve it hot with hot milk.
Step 3: To Make the Whipped Strawberry Coffee Topping: Combine the Instant Coffee, sugar, strawberry powder and water together, until you create a frothy whipped topping (you can do it with a whisk but it takes about 400 whisks; I find it best to use a handheld electric mixer). Whip to stiff peaks to get a meringue-like consistency.
Step 4: Add the coffee topping to the strawberry milk that’s in the glass. Add a straw. Mix and enjoy.
