Use Fresh Dragon Fruits to Make These 8 Desserts and Drinks

Dragon Fruits are one of the healthiest fruits out there.

They are rich in antioxidants, Vitamin A and C and boosts your immune system! So why not try using some dragon fruit to make these 8 desserts and drinks!

Dragon Fruit Pancake

Ingredients

  • 1 Egg
  • 240 g Milk
  • 15 g Butter
  • 1 Dragon fruit
  • 80 g Cake flour
  • 200 g Whipped cream
  • 20 g Powdered sugar
  • 20 g Fine granulated sugar
  • Red yeast rice powder

Instructions

  • Whisk the eggs and powdered sugar until the sugar melts, add milk and mix well.
  • Add cake flour and red yeast rice flour, mix well.
  • Melt the butter in water, pour it into the batter, mix well.
  • Spread the batter two or three times, put it in the refrigerator and let it cool for half an hour.
  • Spread a thin layer of oil on a 6-inch non-stick frying pan, then pour about 30mI of batter and form it into a round shape.
  • Heat on a small fire until the batter is solidified. There is no need to turn over during the process. When it is cooked, it will come out.
  • After the pancake skin has cooled, squeeze whipping cream on the bread filling, and add the dragon fruit flesh. Wrap left and right first, then front and back.
  • After wrapping, turn it over and put it on the plate!

Dragon Fruit Mantou

Ingredients

  • 35 g Sugar
  • 150 g Water
  • 400 g All purpose flour
  • 2/3 tsp Yeast powder
  • Appropriate amount of dragon fruit puree

Instructions

  • Knead all the ingredients into a smooth dough and let it sit for 10 minutes.
  • Knead the dough into long strips and cut into eight equal parts. Let it rest for about 30 minutes. Press lightly with your fingers and the surface will bounce.
  • Pour 1/3 cup of water into a 10-person Datong electric pot, put it in the steaming rack, put the dough in the steamer until the switch jumps!

No Bake Dragon Fruit Cheesecake

Ingredients

Bottom Ingredients

  • 150 g Melted butter
  • 50 g Roasted walnuts
  • 250 g Digestive biscuits

Original filling

  • 100 ml Whipping cream
  • 1 tbsp Lemon juice
  • 80 g Castor sugar
  • 8 g Gelatin powder
  • 250 g Cream cheese

Dragon fruit filling

  • 100 ml Whipping cream
  • 1 tbsp Lemon juice
  • 20 g Castor sugar
  • 10 g Gelatin powder
  • 250 g Cream cheese
  • 120 g Diced dragon fruit

Instructions

  • Bottom layer : Coat a layer of oil on an 8-inch round bottom baking tin, stir the digestive biscuits and roasted walnuts into fine biscuit pieces. Pour the biscuit crumbs into the baking tin, pour the melted cream, mix well, press it tightly to form the bottom of the cheesecake. Refrigerate in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
  • Original filling : Use hot water, mix the cream cheese and sugar into a smooth cream paste, set aside for later use.
  • Use hot water, add 1 tablespoon of water to the gelatin powder to melt. Beat the whipped cream. Then mix the whipped cream into the cream batter of method (2) and mix well. Add in the melted gelatin powder and mix well.
  • Take out the bottom layer of the cake and poke holes in the surface. Pour the custard mixture from (3) on the bottom of the cake. Refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  • Dragon fruit filling : Use hot water, stir the cream cheese and sugar into a smooth cream paste. Use a blender to mix diced dragon fruit and condensed milk into dragon fruit juice, pour in the butter cream, mix well to form dragon fruit butter cream, set aside for later use.
  • Use hot water, add 2 tablespoons of water to the gelatin powder to melt. Beat the whipped cream. Stir in the dragon fruit cream from method (5) and mix well. Add melted gelatin powder and mix well.
  • Take out the cake from the refrigerator and poke holes in the surface. Pour the dragon fruit mixture prepared in (6) on the cake. Put it in the refrigerator for 4 hours then enjoy!

Dragon Fruit Agar- Agar

Ingredients

  • 3 L Water (5 cups)
  • 3 Pandan leaves
  • 20 g Agar-agar sticks
  • 50 g Fresh honey (choose any preferred sweetener)
  • 1 cup Dragon fruit puree

Instructions

  • Boil water in a medium pot, then add agar-agar and Pandan leaves. Use low heat and stir occasionally until the agar-agar strips are completely dissolved. This process takes about 2 minutes. Take out Pandan leaves after turning off the heat.
  • Leave the agar-agar to cool for a minute or two before adding the dragon fruit and honey (because high temperature will destroy the enzymes in the fruit and honey), stir well.
  • Pour into a mold or a 20cm x 20cm tray. Once completely cooled, put it in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
  • Use a butter knife to lightly scrape the edge of the mold and gently squeeze the mold to remove the agar-agar from the mold. If you are using containers, cut them into squares or rectangles with a butter knife!

Dragon Fruit Popsicle

Ingredients

  • 70 ml Milk
  • 30 ml Honey
  • 100 ml Yogurt
  • 5 ml Lemon
  • 30 g White sugar
  • 80 g Dragon fruit (red)

Instructions

  • Mix milk with yogurt, sugar and honey.

Dragon Fruit Fried Egg

  • 1-2 Egg
  • 1 Dragon fruit
  • A little bit of salt
  • Milk (any amount)

Instructions

  • Wash and trim the dragon fruit.
  • Separate the pulp and skin.
  • Dice the peel.
  • Put it into the beaten egg mixture, add a little salt, and any amount of milk.
  • Pour into a medium-sized pan over a small fire!

Dragon Fruit Sago

  • Sago
  • Sugar
  • Dragon fruit
  • Coconut water

Instructions

  • Add water to the pot, boil and pour the sago, turn to medium heat and cook for about 5 minutes (while stirring), cook until the sago is translucent, turn off the heat when there is a white spot in the middle of the sago, then place the cover on the pot for 10 minutes.
  • Take the sago out and filter it through cold water. The purpose of this is to wash away the excess mucus, so that the sago is more refreshing to eat, and the finished product is nicer. The sago after filtering is crystal clear, full and translucent.
  • Pour an appropriate amount of water into the pot and put in the sago at the same time. Heat for about 5 minutes over medium heat until the sago is completely transparent and remove when there is no white spot in the middle. Put it in cold water for later use.
  • Cut the dragon fruit in half, take out the flesh and cut into pieces, divide into two pieces for later use.
  • Take a portion of dragon fruit, add an appropriate amount of sugar and coconut juice and beat it till it becomes dragon fruit juice.
    Take a bowl, pour in the drained and dried sago, pour in the dragon fruit juice, and add another portion of dragon fruit. Now it's ready to eat!

Dragon Fruit Milkshake

Ingredients

  • 300 g Dragon fruit
  • Yogurt (appropriate amount)

Instructions

  • Peel the dragon fruit and crush it with a spoon.
  • Add dragon fruit and yogurt into the blender.
  • Stir it into a fine juice!
