What’s life without bread? We all absolutely love it!
And we love it more when it’s easy to make! HAHAHA.
So here is a collection of bread recipes that are super easy and quick for you to make at home. Especially useful during the quarantine!
1.WHITE BREAD – THE BASIC LOAF
The one that goes with almost everything.

INGREDIENTS
- 1 cup lukewarm water
- 1/3 cup lukewarm milk
- 3 tbsp melted butter
- 3 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 tsp yeast
- 3 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
INSTRUCTIONS
- So all you gotta do is add the ingredients above into the bread maker in order.
- You can set the bread maker setting to the standard size of 900g then push the start button.
- Once your bread has baked, let it cool before cutting it into slices.
Have it sweet with jam or savoury by dipping it in some curry!
2.WHOLE WHEAT BREAD – THE HEALTHY ONE
So if you’re on the healthy side, trying to stay fit and all – this one’s for you!

INGREDIENTS
- 1 1/2 cups + 2 tbsp water
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 2 tsp salt
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 4 1/4 cups whole wheat flour
- 3 tbsp nonfat dry milk
- 2 tsp of active dry yeast
INSTRUCTIONS
- Add the ingredients above into the bread maker in order.
- Some people like sprinkling some rolled oats over the bread. This is optional of course.
- You can set the bread maker setting to Whole Wheat setting if it is available or else just follow your respective bread maker instructions, then push the start button.
- Once your bread has baked, let it cool before cutting it into slices.
The oats really give it a nice crunchy texture! Definitely recommended!
3.BANANA BREAD – THE FAVORITE
To the person that invented the first banana bread – THANK YOU! It’s an incredibly delish combo!

INGREDIENTS
- 2 large eggs
- 1/3 cup room-temperature unsalted butter
- 2 tbsp room-temperature milk
- 2 mashed medium-ripe bananas
- 1 1/3 cups bread flour
- 2/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1 1/4 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup of lightly toasted, chopped nuts (almonds, walnuts or any other nut of your choice)
INSTRUCTIONS
- Firstly, add the eggs, butter, milk and mashed bananas into the bread pan.
- In another bowl, combine the rest of the dry ingredients and mix well.
- Then add them into the bread pan.
- Place the pan into the bread maker and start baking.
- Once your banana bread has baked, let it cool before cutting it into slices.
Have this for a tea time snack, oh boy it’s so good!
4.DINNER ROLLS – THE FLUFFY ONE
This is easy on the tummy and you can have it for breakfast or even as snacks.

INGREDIENTS
- 1 cup water
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 egg (lightly beaten)
- 3 1/4 cups bread flour
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 3 tsp active dry yeast
INSTRUCTIONS
- Add the ingredients above into the bread maker in order and select Dough/Manual cycle.
- Once it is completed, use lightly floured hands and place the dough on a lightly floured surface. Let it rest for 10 minutes.
- Divide them into 15 pieces and shape them into cute balls.
- Grease the baking pan lightly then place the dough balls 2 inches apart.
- Brush the dough with melted butter then cover them with plastic wrap. Let it rise for about 30-40 minutes or until they double in size.
- Then remove the plastic wrap and bake in a preheated oven at 190C for 12-15 minutes or until they turn golden brown.
You can cut it into half and smear some butter – it will taste superb!
5.BURGER BUNS – THE CUTE ONE
This will be a favourite with the youngsters!

INGREDIENTS
- 1 1/3 cups water
- 2 tbsp non-fat milk powder
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tbsp shortening
- 2 1/2- 3 tbsp sugar
- 2 tsp salt
- 2 1/2 tsp active dry yeast
- Cornmeal
- 1 egg white (whisk it with one tablespoon of water)
INSTRUCTIONS
- Add water and non-fat milk powder into the bread maker.
- Now add in flour, then only the rest of the ingredients. Select the Dough cycle.
- Once it is completed, use lightly floured hands and place the dough on a lightly floured surface. Punch it out (this is fun!)
- Knead it then cover with plastic wrap and let it rest for around 30 minutes.
- Sprinkle the cornmeal on a lightly greased baking pan or lined with parchment paper.
- Cut the dough into 8 wedges then shape the dough into cute balls.
- Place dough pieces 2 inches apart and let it rest for 20 minutes.
- Brush some egg wash on the surfaces and bake them in a preheated oven at 190C for roughly 18 minutes or until they turn golden brown.
Then add in some tuna or mini patties with your choice of veggies and perhaps some cheese to make it the most tasty and KAWAII MEAL.
6.CIABATTA BREAD – THE HARD ONE
This is awesome if you’re looking to have something to go with your savoury ingredients or make a sandwich.

INGREDIENTS
- 1 1/2 cups water
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 3 1/4 cups bread flour
- 1 1/2 tsp active dry yeast
- 2 tbsp dried rosemary
INSTRUCTIONS
- Add the ingredients above into the bread maker in order then select the Dough cycle setting and bake.
- Once it is completed, use lightly floured hands and place the dough on a floured surface.
- Cover it up with plastic wrap and let it rest for about 20 minutes.
- Divide the dough into 2 pieces and start forming a bread loaf shape.
- Dust the pan with some flour then place the dough in.
- Bake them in a preheated oven at about 218C for roughly 25-30 minutes or until they turn brown.
You can toast this or grill it then add toppings of your choice like – tuna and mayo or tomato sauce, avocado and salad to enjoy a scrumptious and healthy sandwich!
