The speculations and debate regarding the special exemptions granted to the member finally came to an end as BIGHIT MUSIC confirmed the news of them enlisting, starting with the oldest member, Jin.
BIGHHIT MUSIC proudly announced that BTS, K-Pop’s international superstars, will fulfil their mandatory duty to serve in the South Korean military service for almost 2 years.
After the phenomenal free concert in Busan for South Korea’s Bid for World Expo 2023 and solo endeavours, the entertainment company stated that now is the perfect time for the BTS member to serve their country.
The group member, Jin, will start the process as soon as his solo schedule is finished at the end of October. He will follow the enlistment procedure of the Korean government, while other members will conduct their military service according to their own individual plans. Both BIGHIT MUSIC and the member of BTS are looking forward to reuniting again as a group around 2025 following their service commitment.

BTS released their first-ever anthology album earlier this year, and it opened a path to allow each of the members to take some time to explore individual projects. BIGHIT MUSIC added, “As part of the HYBE family, we support and encourage our artists and are beyond proud that they will each now have time to explore their unique interests and do their duty by being of service to the country they call home.”

BTS is the world’s favourite Korean boy group that debuted in 2013, consisting of Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook. They are best known for creating and producing their own songs with meaningful lyrics about life.
The group had grown to be an international superstar breaking countless records and capturing the hearts of millions of people with their adorable, witty personalities and meaningful songs that people can relate to at some level.
Many ARMY expressed their feelings regarding the news and promised to always be waiting for their comeback.
