In celebration of our upcoming National Day and Malaysia Day, I believe making these cookies with one of our staple household foods a.k.a Milo powder (don’t lie, you have this in your kitchen cabinet or you just had it in the morning). This recipe is super easy and everyone in the family would definitely be scrambling over to try some! Again, perfect for our National Day snacks!

Ingredients
- 2 cups
Butter or margarine - 2 cups
Castor sugar - 4 tbsp
Whipping cream - 2-3 cups Milo powder
- 2 tsp
Vanilla essence - 2
Egg whites - 2 cups
Corn flour - 6 cups
All-purpose flour - Chocolate rice (for topping)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, beat the butter and castor sugar until it expands.
- After that, add in the egg whites, vanilla essence and whipping cream. Continue to mix until all combined.
- Add in the flour, corn flour and milo powder into the bowl and mix. Then, start kneading with your hands until it turns into dough.
- Remove the dough out of the bowl and wrap it with plastic wrap before letting it rest in the fridge for a half an hour until an hour.
- Dust the counter with some flour to ease the next process. Use a rolling pin to flatten the dough but make sure to not flatten it too thin.
- Use your chosen cookie cutter to shape out the cookies.
- Grease or line your baking tray with parchment paper before arranging the biscuits on the tray. Sprinkle your choice of topping on top such as chocolate rice, M&Ms or crushed nuts.
- Bake the biscuits at 185ºC for 20-25 minutes.
- Now, you’re done and ready to serve! Make sure to keep the biscuits in an air-tight container to make sure it doesn’t expire too quickly.
