Congratulations to Tan Sri Michelle Yeoh for creating history after becoming Malaysia’s first Golden Globe award winner!

The 60-year-old star, who was born in Ipoh, took home the Best Actress In A Musical Or Comedy Motion Picture award for her impressive performance “Everything Everywhere All At Once”, a critically acclaimed film.

She beat other nominees, including Anya Taylor-Joy (The Menu), Lesley Manville (Mrs. Harris Goes To Paris), Margot Robbie (Babylon) and Emma Thompson (Good Luck To You, Leo Grande).
Yeoh also recently became the first Asian to ever win Best Actress at the National Board Of Review Awards and was crowned Time magazine’s Icon Of The Year in December.

Aside from that, Ke Huy Quan also bagged a Golden Globe award for “Everything Everywhere All At Once” for Best Supporting Actor.
Brad Pitt (Babylon), Brendan Gleeson (The Banshees Of Inisherin), Barry Keoghan (The Banshees Of Inisherin)and Eddie Redmayne (The Good Nurse) are among the nominees he beat.
