Cheese and prawn? What else is there to say? One of the best combinations to ever exist. This sandwich is super crispy on the outside and gooey on the middle
Ingredients
- 200 g Prawns (Deshelled and deveined)
- 4-5 nos Cheese slice
- 3 slice Bread
- ½ tsp Garlic Powder
- Salt
- Pepper
Garlic butter:
- 3 cloves Garlic
- 50 g Unsalted butter (softened)
- ½ handful Dried Parsley
- Salt
Instructions
- To prepare the garlic butter, mix everything well in a bowl and set aside for spreading.
- Remove the crust from the bread slices and cut the bread into 4 pieces.
- Roughly chop the prawns then season with garlic powder, salt and pepper.
- Spread the prawns on one side of the bread then layer it with cheese. Then combine two of them to form a sandwich.
- Once the sandwich is formed, spread the garlic butter on both sides of the sandwich.
- Then bake in a 180C oven for 10 mins.
Notes
- I find that by adding chilli flakes into the prawn mixture, it gives a spicier taste.
- Adjust the temperature of your oven and also the time to get the best colour for your sandwich.
- You might also want to reduce the salt for the prawn mixture depending on the type of cheese you are using. Some cheeses are saltier than others.
