Hailey Bieber and Selena Gomez were seen posing for several sweet photos together last night at Academy Museum Gala, and they left fans to go crazy over this unexpected encounter.
This lovely moment happened two weeks after Bieber addressed the alleged feud between the two stars.
Both Gomez and Bieber were captured spending time while attending the 2nd annual Academy Museum Gala in Los Angeles last night. The pictures were taken by a photographer, Tyrell Hampton, as the two beautiful stars smiled for the photos, with one showing them hugging each other.
The singer showed up at the event in stunning and chic black suits with satin lapels paired with flared trousers, open-toe sandals and silver statement chandelier earrings to finish the look.
While the model wore a gorgeous strapless gown from Saint Laurent’s spring/summer 2023 collection, designed with a torso cutout and ruched details, paired with a vintage Tiffany & Co. necklace.
Bieber addressed the speculations from fans of an alleged feud between herself and Gomez over their relationship with Justin Bieber. The speculations also had been going around for many years. Her statement was aired on the Call Her Daddy podcast last month as the model debunked fans’ assumptions about how she dated Justin Bieber at the same time as Gomez.
In the Call Her Daddy podcast, Bieber explained that she and her now-husband, Justin Bieber, rekindled their romance in 2018 after the superstar had “close a chapter” with Gomez. She added, “period, point blank … was never in a relationship with him when he was with anybody.”
“The perpetuation comes from the misperception, ‘Oh, you stole him,'” Bieber said. “[Fans] wish that he had ended up with someone else, and that’s fine. You can wish that all you want, but that’s just not the case,” she added. “If we have moved on, why can’t you?”
Bieber also shared that she had seen what people say about her online and wished everyone would let things go by accepting the reality.
A few days after the podcast was released, Gomez indirectly responded to Bieber’s comments during a TikTok live. She clearly emphasized that the words we say about other people matter.
“I think some of the things that I don’t even need to be aware of are just vile and disgusting. And it’s not fair because no one ever should be spoken to in the manner that I’ve seen.”
Gomez also shared how she finds the whole thing “ironic” as those fans who would support her Rare Beauty line, which just released a collection of Kind Words Matte Lipsticks and Lip Liners, could not comprehend the impact of words.
“If you support Rare, I cannot thank you enough but know that you are also representing what it means and that is words matter. Truly matter. So it’s coming from me, and I just want all of you to know that I hope that you understand that this is much bigger than anything else.”
