Is it bread, or is it pudding? It’s actually bread pudding! Now what exactly is bread pudding? Traditionally, bread pudding is cubed bread that’s tossed in a simple custard mixture and is baked until it turns a beautiful golden brown shade. This is a recipe for the classic bread pudding that comforts the soul.

Ingredients
- 6 slices of
Bread - 2 tbsp
Butter, melted - ½ cup
Chocolate chips (Optional) - 4
Eggs, beaten - 2 cup
Milk - ¾ cup White
Sugar - 1 tsp
Ground cinnamon - 1 tsp
Vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 175 degrees C.
- Break the bread into small pieces and place it in an 8-inch square baking pan. Drizzle melted butter or margarine on top of the bread. Sprinkle with chocolate chips if desired.
- Combine the eggs, milk, sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla in a medium mixing bowl. Mix until everything is well combined. Pour over the bread and gently press down with a fork until the bread is covered and soaking up the egg mixture.
- Bake for 45 minutes in the preheated oven or until the top springs back when lightly tapped.
Notes:
Let it cool in the fridge for a few hours before consuming it for firmer results. Pair it with some ice cream or drizzle it with caramel sauce to make it better!
