Top 10 Best Cendol in Shah Alam 2023

Cendol is the Malaysian name for a popular South East Asian dessert dish served primarily by street vendors throughout both West and East Malaysia. Because ice was difficult to obtain in the early years, the original Indonesian cendol was served without it. Dawet is the Javanese name for the cendol. The Dawet is served as a drink rather than crushed ice.

Cendol is a dessert made with coconut milk that is topped with delicious pudding-like strands, glutinous rice, kidney beans, and cream corn. Palm sugar, which is widely available in Southeast Asian countries such as Indonesia, Singapore, and Malaysia, is used to sweeten this vegan dessert. So, here are the top 10 best cendol in Shah Alam 2023 for you to try during these scorching days.

How Do You Eat Cendol?

If you don’t mix it, you’ll only get the savoury part of the coconut milk and end up with a very sweet palm sugar liquid in the bottom of your glass/bowl. You can eat all of your cendol with your spoon before drinking it with your straw.

What Are The Ingredients In Cendol?

Some cendol comes with creamed corn, jackfruit or pulut (glutinous rice) on top or tapioca pearls mixed in with the ice. Other varieties come with sour, strong durian fruit flesh. A vendor tops a scoop of shaved ice with coconut milk and pandan jellies.
